This show was first broadcast on Monday 12th November 2012.   Three years on the radio tonight.  Who would ever have thunk it?   We decided to celebrate by putting together a show from all the wonderful artists who have come to visit us and record a song or two here at the foot of Sliabh Breac.  Some of the them, like Richmond Fontaine, chased after and long cherished, others, like Mike Ferrio, dropping fortuitously into our lap and all the more enjoyable for it.   So for one week only we have no postbag section, no slow dance and no hymn of the hour just some of the fantastic live versions we’ve captured in the studio here.

The songs played were:

Take Apart An Engine – Miss Paula Flynn

Scars – Danny Britt

She Only Drinks Whiskey – Danny Britt

Diamonds And Gold – Wookalilly

The Janitor – Richmond Fontaine

Welhorn Yards – Richmond Fontaine

Every once in a while we get invited over to do a guest slot on the main station 2FM and this is one of these rare occasions.   The show was first broadcast on Sunday 14th October 2012 at 11.00p.m.   Always a strange affair for us as we don’t normally have to contend with ad breaks but you’ll have to excuse us for being a little less gregarious than usual.   The music’s still as good though and we have a couple of stunning live tracks from when Malcolm Holcombe popped in last time he was passing.

The songs played were:

Take Apart An Engine – Miss Paula Flynn

Jukebox Blues – June Carter

Take Me Back To Tulsa – Bob Wills
