‘C’ Word With Miss Paula Flynn #156

This show was first broadcast on Monday 12th November 2012.   Three years on the radio tonight.  Who would ever have thunk it?   We decided to celebrate by putting together a show from all the wonderful artists who have come to visit us and record a song or two here at the foot of Sliabh Breac.  Some of the them, like Richmond Fontaine, chased after and long cherished, others, like Mike Ferrio, dropping fortuitously into our lap and all the more enjoyable for it.   So for one week only we have no postbag section, no slow dance and no hymn of the hour just some of the fantastic live versions we’ve captured in the studio here.

The songs played were:

Take Apart An Engine – Miss Paula Flynn

Scars – Danny Britt

She Only Drinks Whiskey – Danny Britt

Diamonds And Gold – Wookalilly

The Janitor – Richmond Fontaine

Welhorn Yards – Richmond Fontaine

Westward Ho – Richmond Fontaine

Bad Blood – Ana Egge

There Won’t Be Anymore – Ana Egge

Coast Of Donegal – Hat Fitz And Cara

Hell Or High Water – David Hope

In Your Mercy – Malcolm Holcombe

Heaven In The Haze – Mike Ferrio

Sea Change – Turin Brakes

Malcolm Holcombe, who whipped by to record a couple of tracks earlier this year
