‘C’ Word With Miss Paula Flynn on 2FM – Sunday 14th October 2012

Every once in a while we get invited over to do a guest slot on the main station 2FM and this is one of these rare occasions.   The show was first broadcast on Sunday 14th October 2012 at 11.00p.m.   Always a strange affair for us as we don’t normally have to contend with ad breaks but you’ll have to excuse us for being a little less gregarious than usual.   The music’s still as good though and we have a couple of stunning live tracks from when Malcolm Holcombe popped in last time he was passing.

The songs played were:

Take Apart An Engine – Miss Paula Flynn

Jukebox Blues – June Carter

Take Me Back To Tulsa – Bob Wills

Drink The Barrel Dry – Bill Boyd & His Cowboy Ramblers

In Your Mercy (Live) – Malcolm Holcombe

Trail Of Money (Live) – Malcolm Holcombe

Lonesome Truck Driver Blues – Bill Monroe & His Bluegrass Boys

Country Blues – Doc Watson

Black Lung – Hazel Dickens

Go Back Home – Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir

Devil Ain’t Lazy – Pokey Lafarge & The South City Three

Dim Lights, Thick Smoke – Flatt & Scruggs

Easy To Love – Billie Holiday

I’ve Been Down That Road Before – Hank Williams

New Campton Races – Red Allen, Frank Wakefield & The Kentuckians

Goin’ On To Heaven In The Sanctified Way – Sister Cally Fancy

How Mountain Girls Can Love – The Stanley Brothers
