‘C’ Word With Miss Paula Flynn #120
This week’s show, first broadcast 27th February 2012, changes the format a little. The ‘Song That Changed The Face Of Country’ feature is gone, although Greg is still there, he’s just taken over postbox duties. When we started this we didn’t think we’d still be here almost two and a half years on and it’s getting to be a stretch to find an influential song each week. It may return, we never say never around here.
The songs played were:
Take Apart An Engine – Miss Paula Flynn
Going To The Barndance Tonight – Carson Robinson and his Pioneers
I Can’t Dance – Gram Parsons
My Little Baby – The Maddox Brothers and Sister Rose
Peggy Sue – Buddy Holly
Arlene – The Handsome Family
Winter’s Come And Gone – Gillian Welch
Fill Her Up – Minton Sparks
Hard To Build A Home – Marvin Etzioni

I Know I’ve Been Changed – The Dixie Hummingbirds
Don’t Give Her No More Speed – Acoustic Dan
Explosion In The Fairmont Mines – Blind Alfred Reed
Crazy He Calls Me – Billie Holiday
